Arguably the greatest fighter to ever compete in the King of Fighters tournament, Kyo is the latest descendant of the legendary Kusanagi clan who, alongside the Yagami clan, seal away the Orochi power 1800 years ago. Afterwards, the Yagami struck an unholy pact with the Orochi and now wage a mortal war with the Kusanagi. Kyo doesn't want to kill Iori Yagami, but seems to have little choice. (read bio)

Iori is the latest descendant of the Yagami clan, a cursed bloodline which has been condemned to living a short lifespan due to the Orochi blood flowing through their veins. He is a single, self-absorbed person who cares about nobody but himself and can't stand to be bossed around! His only goal in life is to defeat Kyo and, if anybody should oppose him, will dispose them down like the trash they are! (read bio)

Chizuru is the last remaining survivor of the Yata Clan whose obligation is to take care of the seal held over the Orochi power. She is the younger of two sisters born in the latest Kagura generation. Her older sister was the rightful heir, but was slain by Goenitz. With the defeat of Orochi, it is presumed that Chizuru now lives with ease now that Orochi power has been sealed again... for now. (read bio)
