The 114 Shiki: Ara Gami and 115 Shiki: Dokugami are the stem moves from which Kyo's new arsenal branches. The 101 Shiki: Oboroguruma is replaced with the 707 Shiki: Doku Gaku Tori, also called the Rainbow Energy Dynamite or R.E.D. Kick. The 910 Shiki: Nue Tsumi is also a new addition and, like all other physical counter moves, will strike back against non-energy based attacks.

Iori is the latest descendant of the Yagami clan, a cursed bloodline which has been condemned to living a short lifespan due to the Orochi blood flowing through their veins. Chizuru is the last remaining survivor of the Yata Clan whose obligation is to take care of the seal held over the Orochi power. She is the younger of two sisters born in the latest Kagura generation. Her older sister was the rightful heir, but was slain by Goenitz.
