Invitations were sent out for that King of Fighters, as they had been for the past few years, and Heidern held his in hand. With Rugal finally eliminated, he had no further reason to investigate the tournament. It was now legitimate, headed by a chair person who had no rap sheet or obvious ulterior motive to holding the tournament unlike the previous hosts who... Heidern looked down the card to see that Geese Howard and Wolfgang Krauser were slated to fight at this King of Fighters. Something was going on and Heidern couldn't shake this feeling that something more was involved with this year's King of Fighters. Maybe some further investigation was needed after all. Heidern called for Ralf and Clark and informed them that they would be joining the King of Fighters another time. However, this time, Heidern would be keeping an eye on things from afar where he could watch things and keep track of events better. His replacement? A surprise to the both of them! Heidern revealed his previously unknown protegé, a mysterious female who went by the name of Leona.

Leona has a very blurry past, and a even more bleak future. She is very quiet and has a very cold attitude and does not talk to anyone outside of the Ikari Warriors. She seems fearless from the outside, but she's always afraid that she may cause harm to her friends because of her Orochi blood. Leona hates the sight of blood. She feels lonely though she knows her comrades are always behind her. (read bio)

Ralf Jones, along with his lifetime friend, Clark Steel, have passed through so many missions that most mercenaries would be happy if they could accomplish even half of what the duo has done. Ralf is sort of cocky, unlike his serious partner, but he is aware of his responsibility and will do anything to get the mission done. He cares a lot for Leona, but doesn't want it to be revealed. Clark is part of the Ikari Warriors mercenary agency. He is closest with Ralf since they have been through several missions together and they both know how the other thinks Clark is very quiet and doesn't show too much emotion in his cold face with his melancolic eyes hidden by shades. It is hard for him to relate with others and he is not good with sentimental words, but inside Clark is warm guy. (read bio)
